It’s been a busy week, and it’s time to chill out at the Leisure Bowl.

Les Mills Bodybalance is a yoga-based class aimed at improving your mind set as well as your body.

Group Fitness and Gym Co-ordinator Tricia McKenzie said: “Bodybalance is good for everyone. With busy lives we never take enough time out to treat our mind and body.

“It comprises of tai chi, yoga, pilates, balance, stretching and relaxation. It's good for all age groups, both male and female, and is also suitable in pregnancy.

“It's great to improve strength and flexibility as options are given throughout the class depending on an individual's flexibility.”

The class is always set to an inspiring sound track, motivating you to bend and stretch further. Breathing control is also a key element of the class, and the instructors will guide you through no matter what your physical ability.

Our Leisure Bowl reporter, Meghan McCormack, has sampled the class for herself. She said: “Bodybalance eases out all of the knots, lumps and bumps you’ve accumulated through the day.

“It gives you a sense of calm after what could have been a hectic week.

“I really enjoy the class at the Leisure Bowl as the instructors are so friendly so that puts you at ease right away. The facilities are great too.

“I would highly recommend this class to anyone who just wants to chill out and work on any tensions they have.”
