RWPGM Bro. Alistair T. Marshall and WPGMD Bro. Gordon W.S. Sewell, along with office bearers from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Stirlingshire, presented £1000 cheques to Karen McFarlane of Kidney Kids Scotland and Gill Richardson of Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
The money was raised by the golf section of the Provincial Grand Lodge and will be put to very good use by the two charities.
Kidney Kids Scotland was founded in July 2000 and has distributed over £1.5 million towards the treatment of children in Scotland suffering from renal and urology problems. It also supports hospitals all over Scotland with much needed equipment and funding posts.
The inflammatory bowel disease department of Forth Valley Royal Hospital deals with sufferers of both Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. These are lifelong conditions to which there is no known cure. Currently, there are some 2000 sufferers in the Forth Valley area alone.
Both ladies were extremely grateful for the contributions.
