PLANS have been laid out for the Alloa Remembrance Day ceremony, Taking place on Sunday, November 8. The parade will form up at Greenside Street car park at 10.30am, moving off to the war memorial led by The Bowmar Pipes and Drums at 10.45am.

At 10.50am, the Clackmannan District Brass Band will be positioned at the memorial, the official party will depart from St Mungo’s Parish Church and the standard bearers will take position.

The Lord Lieutenant’s salute is scheduled for 10.55am, with the Last Post from the brass band and Exhortation from the Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS) at 10.59am, followed by a two-minute silence at 11am. At 11.02am, the brass band will deliver Reveille, before a prayer led by Reverend Sang Y Cha. Wreaths will then be laid.

A church service at St Mungo’s Parish Church will follow before tea and sandwiches at the Station Bar, Primrose Street, in Alloa.
