FORTH Valley Deaf Children’s Society visited the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service at Stirling Fire Station on Sunday.
The children – and adults – had a great time and the Fire Service were brilliant.
They made it fun by showing the children the fire engines, having a go at spraying water from the hoses, trying to find people in the dark with and without light sensitive cameras and demonstrations on how rigs are used to lift people out of buildings.
They also found out more about smoke alarms for the hearing impaired.
The visit was followed by a trip to McDonald’s. The staff there were fantastic, too, and could not have been more accommodating.
The group is now planning its Christmas party which is taking place at the Sensory Centre in Camelon on December 19.
