WEE County residents got moving for BBC’s Children in Need last week.
Clackmannanshire teenager Chloe Wotherspoon held a fantastic fundraising night on Wednesday, November 11, to raise money for the cause.
She led a full hour of Clubbercise – dance aerobics to club anthems in a darkened room, with glow-sticks and disco lights – and organised a number of fun activities.
There was plenty for all the family, including children’s party dances, games, face painting, a raffle and a cake sale.
The 18-year-old from Clackmannan was pleased with how the fundraiser went.
She said: “I feel the event went very well, everyone seemed to have an amazing time. I was so glad to have the turnout I did on such a miserable night.
“Everyone was buzzing and laughing away; the kids were jumping through the roof with energy.
“Some of the highlights were definitely seeing all the adults doing ‘the Superman’ and ‘I am the music man’. Also, seeing a few grannies sitting at the side waving their glow-sticks around so they were still taking part.”
Children in Need provides grants for projects within the UK that focus on disadvantaged children and young people. Chloe’s fundraising event raised £226.50 and she had great feedback.
