AN AMATEUR photographer from Tullibody says he was delighted after seeing his seasonal snap of Alloa Cricket Ground published in a national photo book.

Snow Stopped Play, by Graham Coster, is a collection of rare unseen images of Britain’s cricket grounds covered in snow.

It features shots of The Oval and Headingley as well as remote locations in the South Pole and the mountains near Tibet.

And among such prestigious company is The Arns, home of Clackmannan County Cricket Club (above), snapped by Thomas Craig.

He said: “The picture was taken in December 2010 when we had particularly heavy snowfall. It was picked up by the book’s author from a website.

“I’m so pleased that a picture of mine is included among so many great pics in this book.”
