RISE will be hosting drop-in sessions for residents to go and ask about policy as well as raise local issues this month.

The events will be held at Alloa’s Bowmar Centre on April 20 from 2pm to 5pm and in Tullibody Civic Centre on April 28 from 2pm to 5pm.

Bryan Quinn, Rise regional list candidate for Mid Scotland and Fife said: “A lot of political meetings happen at night or are larger meetings that last hours.

“We understand this often excludes a large number of people who perhaps cannot get child care at night or just don’t want to spend hours at a meeting.

“What we are doing here is giving people a chance to ask questions about our policies or share their concerns with us.

"People can come along for as long or as little as they like.”

RISE (Respect, Independence, Socialism and Environmentalism) would replace council tax with an income-based levy, pay carers living wage and bring free public transport.
