THERE was dancing, glow sticks and plenty of fun when Chico Slimani came to town.

He dropped in on Alloa last Friday to lead a masterclass and then an instructor training course on his brand new workout Block Fit.

Wee County residents filled the Bowmar Centre and gave it their all during the upbeat session, which included dance, combat, interval training and yoga-inspired moves.

Entertainer and fitness instructor Chico, who climbed the charts with ‘It’s Chico Time’ after appearing on the X Factor, kept everybody moving during the event.

There was a great atmosphere on the night and the opportunity for everyone to join in, regardless of fitness levels.

The session was facilitated by Celia Flanagan of Wee County Wellness, who is offering Block Fit classes at her Clacks centre.

She said: “What can I say? What a night! It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done – the place was buzzing.

“This was Chico’s first Scotland visit with Block Fit and I’m so proud he came to our Wee County as this workout is going to be massive and is just about to launch in 67 Bannatynes gyms across the UK, as well as in Europe.

“I’m still buzzing from it; my social media accounts have been crazy. So much amazing feedback – everyone had a blast.

“We then did an instructor training course, the first one in Scotland, where another four Wee County Wellness girls passed with flying colours.”
