CREATIVITY, style and innovative ideas were on display at Forth Valley College’s annual Fantasy @ Your Fingertips last week.

A team of students from Salon Services offered up a range of hair, beauty and nail treatments from 4-8pm on Thursday, April 28.

There was also a catwalk, where models showed off displays of student work, provided a fitting showcase to end the evening held at the Alloa campus.

FVC Salon Services lecturer Kathryn Baird, said: "The students from HND Make-up Artistry and City and Guilds Nail Services Level 3, will have benefited enormously from the experience.

"The feedback we have had from those that attended was excellent and we are already planning for next year. It was a great event and we have raised a lot of money for a very good cause."

More than 70 people paid £5 a head to attend the popular event and they were treated to a glass of bubbly, canapés and a £5 salon voucher to get them in the mood.

As a result £845 was raised in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society, a worthy cause that is very close to the department’s heart.

Staff from the college’s Communications and Marketing Department filmed and took photographs at the event and Access and Progression lecturer Stewart Ritchie was on hand to introduce the models.
