THE Neonatal, Maternity and Paediatric Unit at Forth Valley Royal Hospital has just received a bundle of gifts, worth more than £10,000.
Charity So Precious, dedicated to supporting the Children's Ward, donated a range of equipment including two Vapotherm units and two mamaRoo chairs.
The Vapotherm units help patients, including newborns, with breathing troubles. It provides respiratory support using a nasal cannula rather than a mask covering the face.
MamaRoo seats mimic comforting movements, like being rocked in a chair, which is great for babies and toddlers who have already been home, but had to return to hospital.
One of the seats was purchased following a direct donation from MB Lock Tec, responding to a funding appeal at last year's So Precious Charity Ball.
Since 2011, the charity has raised more than £275,000 for the Women's and Children's Ward at the hospital.
