POLICE have issued an appeal after fake notes were tendered in nearby Dunblane last week.
According to the force, a man entered various shops in town and used counterfeit £10 notes to pay for goods early Friday afternoon between 12.30pm and 1pm.
Officers are looking for a male in his mid-to-late 20s, he is around five foot six or seven inches tall, with a slim build and blonde or brown hair.
He had a Scottish accent, possibly Glaswegian, and was wearing black shorts, long black socks, black trainers, a grey T-shirt and a grey hoodie with a white trim near the zip.
Enquiries are ongoing with CCTV being checked. Anyone with any information regarding the man is asked to contact Police Scotland on the non-emergency 101 number.
To remain anonymous, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
