POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fatal motorbike accident just outside Clackmannanshire last night.

A motorcyclist died after his bike was involved in a collision with a Ford Transit van on the A907 at Bogside, west of Devilla Quarry. The incident happened around 7.05pm yesterday evening, Thursday July 14.

Emergency services attended the scene, but the 31-year-old male biker sustained serious injuries and was subsequently pronounced dead.

The road was closed for more than five hours while officers investigated the scene and anyone who may be assist with their inquiries is asked to come forward.

Sergeant Derek Allan from the Road Policing Unit in Glenrothes said: “Tragically, this collision has resulted in the motorcyclist sustaining fatal injuries and we are now continuing with our investigation to establish the full circumstances of what took place.

“Anyone who was on the A907 on Thursday evening and witnessed the incident is asked to contact police immediately.”
