THEY first met after being set up on a blind date at the Old Brewery in Alloa.

Now, Graeme Plank and Rachel Lawless are set to tie the knot next year, after being named winners of the Advertiser's wedding competition.

The lucky pair, who have been together for more than five years, are looking forward to sharing their special day with friends and family on Saturday, September 9.

Rachel said: "We are totally over the moon. We have always wanted to get married in the Dunmar House – it's beautiful.

"I hope our wedding day is full of everyone having a great time and enjoying themselves."

The planning has already started for the couple, who are parents to seven month old James – their pride and joy.

Graeme, 26, and Rachel, 23, who stay in Stirling but are originally from Alva, won a cracking package worth £3,500 with Dunmar House Hotel.

They bet 22 other hopefuls, 11 entries, to the top prize after weeks of public voting in the Advertiser.

The stunning venue is set in five acres of grassed and wooded grounds and is Alloa’s premier wedding hotel, offering a full bespoke service.

Top of the agenda for the attentive staff is ensuring the big day goes smoothly and that the guests enjoy a fabulous experience.

Within the prize package is a personal wedding co-ordinator to help the couple plan the day, a sparkling wine reception, wedding banquet for 50 guests, printed menus and table plan and sparkling wine toast.

It also includes master of ceremonies, evening buffet for 100 people, evening disco and overnight accommodation.
