The Auchterarder & District Cancer Research UK Local Fundraising Group is organising a Black Tie Dinner and evening with Fred MacAulay in a bid to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Tickets are now on sale for this unmissable evening.
The Fundraising Group, which is based in the Auchterarder area, is holding the event at Stirling Court Hotel, Stirling University on Saturday, October 29 from 7pm.
The Black Tie evening will include a champagne reception with canapes on arrival. This will be followed by an amazing five-course meal.
Live entertainment will then follow from the award winning famous comedian Fred MacAulay. The fundraising evening will include a raffle and auction. The Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Craig Miller of STV and Cancer Research UK’s cancer prevention champion Linda Bauld will give a presentation.
The Auchterarder & District Fundraising Group decided to hold the event as part of their year of fundraising activity to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
Ian Thomson, chair of the Auchterarder & District Group said: “We are delighted to be organising this event to raise funds for Cancer Research UK and plan to raise as much as possible. We’d ask everyone to please secure their tickets as soon as possible and help make this a fabulous evening.”
Dorothy Rodger, Cancer Research UK’s local fundraising manager for Perthshire, said: “The Black Tie Dinner and evening with Fred MacAulay is an ambitious event for the Auchterarder & District Group and we can’t thank them enough for their commitment to helping Cancer Research UK beat cancer sooner. It’s going to be a fantastic evening.
“Cancer survival rates have doubled since the 1970s and Cancer Research UK’s work has been at the heart of that progress. However, we have only been able to achieve this thanks to the dedication and generosity of volunteers and supporters like the Auchterarder & District Fundraising Group without whom we would not be able to fund outstanding scientists, doctors and nurses.”
Tickets are £120 a head or £1,000 for a table of 10. All tables include five bottles of wine.
There is also the opportunity for a special sponsorship package. The Gold Package of £5,000 is a premium table for 10 next to the stage, with three bottles of champagne on the table, and a full advertisement in the programme.
The Silver Package of £3,000 is a prime location table for 10, with three bottles of champagne on your table, and a half-page advertisement in the event programme. Tickets are already selling fast and to avoid disappointment, early reservation is recommended as bookings will be dealt with on a first come first served basis.
Stirling Court Hotel are offering a special discount for hotel rooms for people attending the event at a rate of £70 sharing or £50 single. Guests should book early to secure this special rate by contacting the hotel direct.
