ALLOA swimmer Duncan Scott claimed his first Olympic medal last night as part of the silver-winning 4x200m relay team.
Along with his teammates, the teenager produced an impressive swim to help grab the second podium spot.
They edged out the team from Japan, with the USA taking first.
Speaking to the BBC after the race, Duncan said: "To come away with an Olympic medal is unreal. We were world champions last year so we thought we had one in us.
"We fought with everything we had..."
Earlier, the 19-year-old set a new British record of 48.01 seconds in his mens 100m heat.
He then equalled that feat when he came fifth in the 100m final.
