ON Saturday over 1,500 visitors attended the Lochore Meadows Country Park open day.

Managed by Fife Coast and Countryside Trust Lochore Meadows played host to a fun-filled day full of activities, with visitors treated to a cookery demonstration by Fife Food Ambassador Christopher Trotter.

Christopher entertained a huge number of observers by showing them how to create a number of tasty dishes using fish and meat and also how to use a mix of green garnishes.

He is always someone who has time to give to people who want to learn any aspect of cooking.

In our photographs taken by Ted Milton we show some park visitors enjoying a cooking demonstration by the Fife Food Ambassador.

The annual open day was attended by over 1,500 local residents and visitors to the area from different parts of Fife and from other parts of the country.

Families had a great time getting stuck into the fun, free activities on offer at the Lochore Meadows country park open day.

We also have shots of Christopher Trotter, Fife Food Ambassador, hosting a food demonstration at Lochore Meadows.

The weather was really kind to the park staff with the sun shining for most of the day.

It meant that people could have a great time enjoying a fun run in the park and all ages took part.

There was also throwing the axe, which brought a lot of interest from people and also learning to work wood.

The water sports area was, not surprisingly on a a lovely day, a popular place where people were able to learn about the various water activities that can be accessed at the country park.

The loch was a picture on the day and also an attraction was the cycle tracks which are a feature of the Meedies.

The children's play area was a busy place and the various rides that were available were a real attraction for the kids.

Many people simply enjoyed the sun in the park and enjoyed a family picnic on the green fields.
