FOUR pizzas were stolen from a delivery driver in the Raploch overnight.

Police Scotland's Stirling Criminal Investigation Department is investigating after the incident, which happened at around 1.25am this morning.

The delivery driver arrived at a Balfour Street address to deliver the four pizzas and as he was waiting outside the property, two males approached him and demanded the goods.

After robbing the frightened deliveryman, both suspects fled the scene on foot, heading on the direction of Woodside Road.

Detective Sergeant Johnny Dreczkowski, of Stirling CID, said: “Although the total value of the stolen items was relatively small, it was nonetheless an extremely frightening experience for the victim.

“These sorts of offences are completely unacceptable and we are committed to tracing those responsible as quickly as possible.

“I urge anyone who witnessed this robbery or who recognises the description of the suspects to contact police immediately.”

Both suspects are described as being white and between 16 and 24 years old. One of them is said to be between 5ft 5in and 6ft tall and was wearing a black puffer jacket with a hood, dark long shorts and trainers. With a scarf covering his face, he spoke with a local accent.

The second man is being described as 5ft 9in and slim; he was wearing a light coloured T-shirt and white shorts.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who can help catch the culprits is asked to contact Police Scotland on the non-emergency 101 number.

Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
