POLICE are investigating following a spate of housebreakings in a small Wee County village over the weekend.
Three properties had been broken into in Menstrie during Friday and Saturday (September 23 and 24) with officers appealing for any information that may be useful.
The Advertiser understands the incidents in Holly Grove, Glenview and Myreton might be linked, but investigations are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police in Forth Valley are investigating following three housebreakings in the Menstrie area.
“The incidents happened between Friday, September 23, and Saturday, September 24, at addresses in Holly Grove, Glenview and Myreton.
“Enquiries are currently ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
Information can also be passed on anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
