A CLACKMANNAN teenager has organised three fundraising walks for this weekend in memory of her late grandparents.
Lornshill Academy pupil Sophie Allan, 16, has organised the special walks to raise much needed funds for Alzheimer Scotland this Saturday, inspired by her late grandparents who both suffered various types of dementia.
Sophie said: “I am holding the walks to raise awareness of this awful illness and to raise funds for Alzheimer Scotland, the charity that does so much to support those who suffer from dementia type conditions.
“I’m hoping that many people will want to take part in memory of a loved one, and if anyone needs further information, they can contact me through Facebook or email at actionwalk2016@gmail.com.“
The walks will all start at Tesco in Alloa and will take three different routes, ending at Morrisons on Clackmannan Road.
The first walk will begin at 2pm and lasts an hour, the second one will start around 2.30pm and lasts 15 to 20 minutes and the final walk will leave at 2.45pm – all walks finish at around 3pm.
