A FORTH Valley policewoman was recently recognised for her work, which has seen theft by house breaking in the area fall by 50 per cent.
Detective Chief Inspector Laura McLuckie won the award for excellence in performance for her role in reducing burglaries at the Police Scotland Scottish Women’s Development Forum (SWDF) awards on Wednesday, September 28.
The work has delivered real benefits to the people living in Forth Valley and her efforts have now been recognised as best practice by other divisions. SWDF chair, Superintendent Suzie Mertes said: “As ever, we were delighted to receive nominations from all over the country and from all areas of the service.
“Our judges were really impressed with the standard of nominations and talked about how hard it was to select the eventual winners.
“We thank everyone who has taken part and in particular those people who took time to highlight the good work done by nominating a colleague for an award.”
