ALLOA dancer Ainsley Stenhouse will take centre stage this autumn as she tours the UK and Ireland as part of a brand new children’s stage show.

Described as a “accomplished triple-threat performer”, the 22-year-old will take on the role of Dorothy in M&M Theatrical Productions’ take on theWizard of Oz.

Aisnley was previously a student at the Jazzart UK college of performing arts in Motherwell where she graduated with an HND in Musical Theatre at the end of June this year.

She said: “I honestly can’t thank Jazzart and all the teachers enough. Jazzart was like my second home for two years and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

“I auditioned as only a dancer and left with singing and acting skills I never even know I had. The work experience I gained throughout my training doesn’t happen at other colleges and I’m so thankful for it.

“Jazzart is a brilliant place to train and although I’m sad my two years are over, I’m excited to use the skills I’ve been taught throughout my career.”

Jazzart UK director Sheridan Nicol added: “I am over the moon that Ainsley had gone directly directly onto this fantastic contract from her graduation – she is an accomplished triple threat performer and I’m sure this will be the first of many contracts she will sign in her career.

“Ainsley follows many graduates who move directly into the industry both nationally and internationally. In her time at Jazzart she has strived to fulfil her dreams of a performing career. She has now taken her first step.”
