A DISCOUNT vibrator is sending shockwaves through social media, after it popped up in shops across the nation, including in the Wee County.

Poundland's budget gadget, the Vibrating Bullet, is now on sale at the retailer's Alloa outlet, after the popular company expanded their range to be stocked in more stores across the UK – at the famous £1 price point.

The store; which sells food and drink, accessories to kids' parties and much more; originally launched the item at some stores in August 2013 – and it even featured on TV when it was shown on controversial Channel 4 show Sex Box.

A Poundland spokesperson said: “Alongside the bullet the range also includes various lubricants and three pack Durex and Sure 12 pack condoms, all at its famous £1 price point.

"Poundland is a responsible retailer and encourages safe sex.”

Revelations the company is going into the sex toy market has been causing a real buzz online and with the internet exploding, the Advertiser thought it was finally time to give readers a few tips on how they can put their new Vibrating Bullet to good use.

The 130.7mm pastel pink toy is more than what meets the eye, so here is a list of five ways which will help you put the versatile item to good use and remember, batteries are not included.

1: The Bullet actually makes an excellent back scratcher, use it to get to those hard to reach places – no more using door frames to alleviate. Once the uncomfortable itchy feel is gone, it doubles as a comfy little back and neck massager.

2: Make some art by dipping it deep into your favourite colours of paint. Place it on a paper or canvas, twist the bottom to turn it on and watch your post-modern masterpiece come to life. Apply a new colour, layer them up if you want to be real crafty, and repeat for 7-8 minutes until your piece is ready – feel free to send us your proudest ones.

3: If you have a green finger, you'll find that the Bullet doubles as an excellent straight garden dibber, perfect for preparing holes in the ground for seeds, seedlings or small bulbs.

4: The Bullet is a fierce weapon, known to instil fear. Use it to fend off those silly clowns who have been terrorising the local crowd recently. The Advertiser understands anyone who can solve the killer clown epidemic will be in for a chance to be crowned Clackmannanshire Citizen of the Year.

5: Buy two, turn them on and watch as they race across your desk – perfect for a wee office bet – just make sure you mark them with a Sharpie first to avoid confusion.
