School children in Clackmannanshire receive Bookbug gift bags as part of Book Week Scotland

School pupils in P1 will receive Bookbug bags and those in P2 and P3 will receive packs with books and games to help improve their literacy and numeracy.

The Bookbug P1 family bag will include three picture books: There’s a Bear on My Chair by Ross Collins, Hare and Tortoise by Alison Murray and Shark in the Park on a Windy Day by Nick Sharratt.

Also included are games and other fun things for parents to do with their children.

The packs for older pupils are part of the Scottish Government’s Read, Write, Count initiative, which encourages parents to get involved and help their children with literacy and numeracy.
