CHRISTMAS post will once again be distributed by Clackmannanshire Scouts around the Wee County with deliveries reintroduced in Alloa.
Stamps are on sale from this Friday and the Scouts are delighted to announce that this year they have enough volunteers to deliver to Alloa as well as Alva, Clackmannan, Dollar, Fishcross, Kincardine, Menstrie, Muckhart, Sauchie, Tullibody, Tillicoultry and Coalsnaughton.
Stamps are 35p each for all card sizes.
Deliveries will commence in December with the last posting day at 5pm on Friday, December 16.
John Spruce, local Scout Post co-ordinator, said: “For 25 years, Scouting has been helping people out during the Christmas period and delivering Christmas post. This activity is a great fundraising scheme as well as been of real benefit to our community.
“The Scout Post in Clackmannanshire has been very successful and we are hoping that the general public will be supporting us again this year.
“We would like to thank all those who support us in this venture, especially the shops selling our stamps.
“For the first time in a few years we have sufficient volunteers to allow us to reintroduce Alloa to our delivery area so we are looking forward to increased volume and helping more people.”
