A CROWDFUNDING campaign has been launched to a help a Sauchie girl who lost everything in a house fire just weeks before Christmas.

Earlier this week, a blaze broke out at the flat on Mansfield Avenue, leaving 10-year-old Milly Davidson's home completely devastated.

Luckily, no one was injured, but a friend of the family said the youngster has lost all her possessions as a result.

Zoe Wallace, also from Sauchie, set up a Just Giving page to raise some money for Milly so she could have the Christmas she deserves.

She said she just wanted to bring a smile back to her face this festive period and is asking the public to help out with whatever they can.

The mother-of-three told the Advertiser: "It's horrible; there's nothing left. She doesn't deserve what's happened to her.

"I set up the page so we'd be able to get her something she really wanted for Christmas. Just something to cheer her up – some clothes or something girly.

"I've got three kids of my own and I can't imagine what it would be like for them."

The house went up in flames at around midday on Monday, with fire crews battling for hours to bring it under control.

It was eventually extinguished more than two hours later, revealing the true extent of the damage caused.

And with the incident coming so close to the holiday season, Zoe felt compelled to help the youngster in some way.

Speaking on the Just Giving Page, she added: "One of my little girl's friend's house caught fire just under four weeks before Christmas.

"She has lost all her things, a lot which can't be replaced, but let's try still give this little girl the great Christmas that she deserves.

"Every little helps – let's put the smile back on Milly's face."
