COWDENBEATH MSP Annabelle Ewing has given her backing to environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful and the national campaign to clean up Scotland’s roadsides.

With 88% of Scottish adults agreeing that roadside litter creates a negative impression of Scotland, the campaign aims to tackle the behaviour which is ruining the view for visitors and domestic road users alike.

Speaking on Friday, Ms Ewing said: “Litter makes our roadsides look dreadful, it is a threat to wildlife and could, potentially, pose a danger to other road users. Throwing litter from a car is simply irresponsible and I am pleased to add my support to this campaign urging people to take their litter home with them."
