A GROUP of aspiring artists are are organising an exhibition to showcase their works next month.

The 10 young students are taking on courses at Forth Valley College and are members of the Portfolio Preparation class.

They vary in age, experience, technique as well as style and wanted to show off their individuality, but work within a common theme.

So, they chose to call the display 'Black and White' and created a range of different works, all within a strict colour scheme.

The exhibition will go on show at the Smith Art Gallery and Museum in Stirling on February 4 and will run until March 17.

The aspiring artists taking part are Emily Eason, Samantha Edgar, Liz Gunn, Aoi Hurley, Dylan Hutchison, Charlie Mitchell, Karys Rutherford, Daniel Wallace, Lauren Webster and Matilda Williams-Kelly.

Both prints and originals will be on sale at reasonable prices.
