AN ALLOA care home which supports adults with complex needs has been given a shining report from the Care Inspectorate this week.

Flourish Home Support Service, based at the business centre on Whins Road, was graded very good for both quality of care and support and quality of management and leadership.

The service was subject to announced visits, at short notice, between November 28 and December 1 last year.

The report read: "We visited some people whilst they were receiving support from staff, and saw warm and caring interactions from staff and evidence of positive relationships with people who use the service and also with relatives and carers.

"We saw evidence that people were supported to remain in their own homes, live more independent lives and be part of their own communities."

It added: "Managers of the service were clearly involved at every level. People told us that they had confidence in the managers, and that issues were dealt with quickly.

"The service has grown and managers were clear that this should be done slowly so as not to compromise quality."

The service covers areas both Stirling and Clackmannanshire and supports older people, people living with dementia, people requiring end of life care and people with a learning disability.
