MORE than £135 was raised for the Riding for the Disabled Association's Forth Driving Group.

The cash came from a charitable pub quiz two weeks ago at the West Port Hotel in Linlithgow, which also donated, as well as a raffle.

Organised by Emma, one of the group's drivers, the RDA says the 2017 fundraising season got off to a good start with the event.

Special thanks go to the hotel and its staff for helping prior to the event as well as for supporting the event throughout the night.

The money raised will be used in a variety of ways, including putting shoes on the horses or getting a new set of reins and other equipment.

Meeting at Riverside Riding School in Carronshore, the group meets every Thursday and those interested in volunteering, donating or finding more out about the services on offer, can contact chairwoman Patsy Muir Simpson on 01786 870 0351.
