THE Alman Dramatic Club will perform The Cemetery Club, Ivan Menchell’s New York comedy, at the Coach House Theatre in Alloa.
The play centres on three Jewish widows who meet once a month for tea before going to visit their husbands’ graves.
Ida (played by Carol Clark) is sweet tempered and ready to begin a new life, Lucille (Rhona McColl) is a feisty embodiment of the girl who just wants to have fun, and Doris (Jean Kendal) is priggish and judgmental.
While visiting the graves they meet Sam (Alan Clark), a butcher, who soon puts their friendship to the test.
The Cemetery Club marks the Alman Dramatic Club’s 228th play and replaces the previously advertised Blythe Spirit.
The shows will run at the Coach House Theatre in Alloa, from Sunday, April 23 to Friday, April 28 at 7.30pm.
There will also be a matinee performance at 2.30pm on Saturday, April 29.
