A LEARNER driver has been accused of getting behind the wheel without supervision and insurance.

Last Wednesday at Alloa's Justice of the Peace Court, defence agent Toni Pentecost asked for extra time to investigate road traffic charges against Carla Ross.

The 20-year-old, who holds a provisional licence, is alleged to have driven a car along Branshill Road in Sauchie on February 17, 2017, without an accompanying qualified driver.

The accused is also charged with failing to display 'L' plates and driving without insurance.

Ross, of Branshill Park in Sauchie, will return to court on May 17 to submit her plea.
