A WOMAN has been accused of fiddling with her electricity meter.
Claire Lyon, of Hillview Terrace in Tillicoultry, has been given until May 10 to admit or deny the charge at Alloa's Justice of the Peace Court.
It has been alleged that the 31-year-old intentionally prevented her meter to be registered to ascertain the quantity of electricity used from a supplier over two years between December 7, 2014-16.
Lyon is also accused of allowing the same meter to be fitted with a bridge wire, preventing the supplier from measuring the correct amount of electricity used at the premises over the same period.
Lyon was due to plead last Wednesday, but failed to show to her hearing for the second time. Defence agent Ms Maitland asked for an adjournment as she had no instruction from her client to go on.
The Crown and court did not oppose, but Lyon will most likely be arrested if she fails to turn up next month.
