A MAN was left with serious injuries following an early morning assault in Falkirk this week.
The 34-year-old was admitted to hospital as a result of the attack, which happened at around 3.15am at the taxi rank on Newmarket Street.
Police have since arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with the incident.
Officers were called to the area following a disturbance at a taxi rank on Newmarket Street around 3.15am.
The victim was found to have sustained a serious, but none life-threatening, head injury.
He was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital, then the Western General for treatment.
Inquiries are ongoing and detectives would like to extend their sincere thanks to the public for their assistance so far.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
