WEE COUNTY companies are invited to learn from Scotland’s leading green business champions at a special event to celebrate the launch of the 2017 VIBES Awards.

This year marks the 18th anniversary of the awards and will also see the unveiling of a new name, VIBES - Scottish Environment Business Awards.

The free event on April 25, between 4-6pm, will provide businesses with the opportunity to hear directly from Webhelp UK, which was highly commended at the 2016 awards as well as event host Stirling University Innovation Park.

The awards recognise and reward companies employing environmental best practice in their daily activity to cut down on resource use, increase sustainability, improve reputation, enhance competitiveness, support wider sustainable developments and benefit their company’s bottom-line. The awards are free to enter and are open to businesses of all sizes and sectors.

Commenting on the awards, Richard Carr, environmental and contract support manager at Webhelp UK, said: “Receiving a special commendation from VIBES has been a hugely important achievement for Webhelp as we seek to further improve our environmental performance and we would encourage any business thinking about entering the awards to do so.

"We’ve been able to promote our projects via case studies which have opened up very promising networking opportunities. We are very much looking forward to VIBES 2017 and the European 2018 awards."

Entries for the awards are open until Friday, May 26. For more info, go to vibes.org.uk
