THERE was plenty of Easter fun at Alloa Tower over the weekend.

Hundreds hopped along to the National Trust for Scotland (NTS) property for the annual Cadbury Egg Hunt.

Across the Saturday and Sunday a total of 357 visitors were welcomed to the tower.

Over the two-days, 171 took part in the exciting adventure following the clues at the historic spot.

There was face-painting, cakes and plenty more to keep everyone entertained.

Property manager, Alison Fraser, said it was even busier than last year, despite the slightly dull weather.

It is one of the most-popular and well-attended events and the feedback from people was “absolutely superb”.

She said: “The feedback was that quite a lot of people had never been to the tower before as well, and because it was on they brought their families along with them.”

The egg hunt is thanks to a unique partnership between Cadbury and NTS which is now in its tenth year.

Forty-seven locations took delivery of over 36,000 chocolate treats ahead of the annual event.

The venture provides family days out, along with helping to provide vital conservation work to protect special places across the country.

Alloa Tower is currently open Friday-Monday, between noon and 4pm.
