YOUNG people in Alloa are being invited to a series of six employability workshops.

They are designed to help find job, training and career opportunities and will be held at the Skills Development Scotland (SDS) Centre on Bank Street, starting on Tuesday June 6.

SDS Alloa team member Grace Collins said: “Our workshops are aimed at young people from across Clackmannanshire who are thinking about their future and looking for more information on jobs and employment support opportunities.

“We have invited local training providers who support modern apprenticeships and Employability Fund initiatives.

“This will give young people the chance to learn more about the opportunities that are available and network with key people.”

Grace, who is a personal adviser at the centre, added: “We are hoping for a good turnout at the sessions, which are based around career management skills.

“They are the perfect opportunity for young people to speak to training providers and SDS careers staff and get the information they need to help inform their choices for the future, so we are hoping for a good turnout.”
