THE Conservatives' Luke Graham has vowed to improve public transport in the Wee County, should he find himself elected next month.
Hopeful of being sent to Westminster after June 8, the Tory candidate plans to secure funding for network improvements, including revised bus times and increase frequency of services to Alloa.
Luke is also keen to improve accessibility to local services, beginning with Platform 9 at Stirling Station.
He said: "The inadequate accessibility to Platform 9 here at Stirling, is a prime example of the inaction and unfulfilled pledges over recent years.
"The limited footbridge here prevents key members of our society – from those with disabilities to those pushing children in buggies – from using a major local service to key destinations.
"I will be putting pressure on the Scottish Government to invest in infrastructure as they originally promised, collaborate with neighbouring MPs and furthermore, lobby Westminster to secure public funds from the government schemes currently available.
"Transport is at the heart of any community, so I want to ensure it is the best it can be."
