IT was all about the icing on the cupcake when children from Little Stars Nursery enjoyed a workshop in Alloa earlier this month.
The youngsters participated in a cupcake decorating class on Thursday, May 4, at Heavenly Bakes 'n' Cakes at The Makers Village in town.
The nursery aims to work closely in partnership with the local community and the preschool children were very excited ahead of the activity.
They had the chance to learn how to design and decorate their own cupcakes while picking up some valuable skills.
Beyond creating their own designs on top of the delicious delights, they also learnt some basic maths skills, turn taking and sharing as well as respecting one another.
The event also helped with their eye-hand co-ordination and aimed to teach them how to take pride in what they do whilst building their confidence.
This also helped to inspire their curiosity, thinking and problem solving.
