A MAN will appear in court today in connection with a knife attack in Tullibody earlier this week.
Police were called out to Main Street during the wee hours of Monday morning.
A 27-year-old male received wounds to his head and arm; however, his injuries were not life-threatening.
Officers later detained a 29-year-old who is expected to appear before a sheriff later on this afternoon.
The house was taped off on Monday morning as an investigation was carried out.
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed: "Police in Alloa have arrested and charged a 29-year-old man following a serious assault in Tullibody.
"The incident happened within an address in Main Street at around 2.30am on Monday, July 10.
"A 27-year-old man sustained a serious injury to his head and arm during the attack and was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment. However, his condition isn't believed to be life threatening.
"The male will appear at Alloa Sheriff Court on Wednesday, July 12."
