A MAN has been charged in connection with a car crash in Menstrie last night.

The Honda careered off road just after a small hump back bridge in Broompark East, smashing through scaffolding attached to one of the properties on the street.

Police Scotland confirmed no one was injured, though the vehicle itself was severely damaged.

A spokeswoman said: "Police in Forth Valley can confirm that an 18-year-old man has been charged with numerous road traffic offences, including dangerous driving, following a road traffic collision in Broompark East, Menstrie.

"The incident happened shortly before 6pm on Wednesday, October 11.

"No one was injured as a result of the collision. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
