A MAN was taken to hospital after being attacked in Clackmannan last night.
Police in Forth Valley were called to the town's Port Street around 8.40pm following reports that a 42-year-old had been assaulted by a group of males.
After sustaining serious injuries to the head and face, he required treatment but is now in a stable condition.
However, officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information that can assist them with their inquiries to get in touch.
Detective Sergeant Johnny Dreczkowski said: “This assault left a man needing hospital treatment for his injuries and we are keen to trace the individuals responsible.
“We are particularly interested in tracing a tall man wearing a cream-coloured jacket who was seen in the area at the time.”
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3744 of November 12, or report this anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
