A WEE COUNTY motorist had a lucky escape this morning as her car flipped on the back roads near Coalsnaughton.
The vehicle is thought to have skidded on black ice along the B9140 before crashing onto its roof shortly after 8.30am.
She was helped from the wreckage by a member of the public, while the emergency services were dispatched to the scene.
It was not the only incident on the bend, as another car had spun out of control on the ice only 20 minutes or so before the second vehicle rolled over.
Neither drivers were injured as a result of their respective incidents.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We were called to the B9140, about one mile east of Coalsnaughton, at around 9am this morning following a report that a car had overturned.
"Thankfully, the female driver was uninjured and recovery was arranged for the vehicle."
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed paramedics attended the scene, and that the driver did not require hospital treatment.
