A MAN has been charged in connection with the alleged attempted robbery in Sauchie on Friday.
Police can confirm that a 23-year-old male was arrested after their inquiries were carried out.
The incident happened at around 10.50pm on Friday night at the Peking Inn takeaway on Main Street.
The accused is expected to appear at Alloa Sheriff Court tommorow.
Officers issued a public appeal yesterday with Detective Inspector Michelle Findlay, saying: “We are looking to speak to anyone who was in Main Street, Sauchie and may have seen anything suspicious around this time.
“The suspect ran from the takeaway in the direction of Craigbank, Sauchie.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference number 4513 of February 9.
