THE family of tragic Conor Brown will mark the first anniversary of their loss in fitting style – a massive town hall evening of live music in his honour.

A year on from the harrowing events, the 22-year-old's loved-ones thought to try and mark the difficult milestone in a positive frame of mind.

Conor took his own life on March 6 last year – sending shockwaves around the entire county.

There was an outpouring of support as friends banded together to raise funds to cover funeral costs.

And with Conor being an avid music fan, two previous concerts were held in his memory, along with a football festival.

Next month's show is being put together by twin brother Declan to try and give his family something to look forward to during what will be a difficult period of reflection.

And in doing so, he has put together a spectacular line-up for the event, including appearances form The Complete Stone Roses and Kazabian – the UK's only Kasabian tribute band.

Also featuring is SIA tribute artist Vicky Louise, Keiran as Ed Sheeran, Sergeant frontman Nick Mercer Jr, the X-Factor's Gregor Coleman and sets from local artists Jaymie Docherty and KingFisher.

Declan told the Advertiser: "I just wanted to get all of Conor's friends and family together again to share some memories and remember him.

"It will be the last one for him; three in one year is a lot. But it's just something I wanted to do, and hopefully it will be help get us past the milestone coming up.

"It's really a personal tribute from the family, but everyone is welcome to come along. Even those who didn't know Conor – it will still be a great night of live music.

"There's some really great bands coming up – Conor was a big fan of SIA and Ed Sheeran. In fact, SIA's Move Your Body and Ed Sheeran's Perfect were both played at his funeral. So I'm glad to get those two up.

"Conor loved his music; loved a mix of music and going to gigs."

Declan's memorial concert to his brother is scheduled for Good Friday, March 30.

Tickets are priced at £20 and are available from the Clackmannanshire leisure line on 01259 213131 or from the Speirs Centre.

There will be a licensed bar provided on the night by Craig from the Royal Oak, with food supplied by Laura's Snack Bar.

Doors open at 5.30pm, for a 6pm start.
