MSP KEITH Brown welcomed a poll from YouGov showing 93 per cent of Scottish respondents are satisfied with the service from the NHS.

Over the past six months, 59 per cent of those asked had some engagement with the health service, with 58 per cent reporting they were very satisfied and 35 per cent fairly satisfied.

According to the representative for Clackmannanshire and Dunblane, the figures provide further evidence that Scotland’s NHS is outperforming the rest of the UK.

Also, that record investment and record staffing levels are reaping rewards in terms of patient care.

He said: "It is pleasing to see these poll findings evidencing widespread satisfaction with Scotland’s NHS and the service provided by dedicated medical staff who work so hard on our behalf.

"These rates of satisfaction are something of which they should be proud.

"Record investment of £13.6 billion from the Scottish Government reflects the importance it places on this vital public service, which will see the recruitment of more doctors, nurses and dentists than ever to continue to drive the standards even higher.

"Whilst it is always important to note positive feedback on our excellent NHS, both the Scottish Government and the NHS itself must strive to continue to deliver improvements and further, and I know they will."
