THE council has been forced to suspend its bin collection services due to the onslaught of winter weather.
Along with the storms forcing cancellations of all public transport in and out of the county, police and the government has warned against all unnecessary travel.
Bin lorries will therefore not be in operation, though it is not yet known when services will resume.
Clackmannanshire Council insist those bins not taken today or yesterday will be picked up as soon as possible.
The statement read: "Due to the severe weather, refuse & kerbside collections are suspended until further notice.
"We will return to collect any bins not collected yesterday or today asap. Forthbank is closed today.
"Brown bin collection has been suspended until w/c 12 March."
Meanwhile, all indoor and outdoor leisure facilities are closed, as is the Leisure Bowl in Alloa.
The Friday bookbug session in Alva tomorrow is also off.
An announcement on school openings for Friday is expected shortly.
