A TEENAGE girl has been sentenced to six months of supervision after admitting two charges against her.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court on Thursday, April 12, for sentencing for the two matters.

The first charge states that on November 15, 2017, the girl assaulted her mother at an address in Alva by seizing her by the hair, punching her on the body before pushing and kicking her on the body, all to her injury.

A charge of stealing £20 from a purse on that date was dropped.

The second charge states that on January 13, 2018, at Morrisons in Alloa, the girl stole a quantity of alcohol and food items.

This offence took place while she was on bail for allegedly stealing alcohol from B&Ms, Alloa on December 15, although that charge was dropped.

The girl, of Hallpark, Sauchie, was given a supervision order for six months.
