A TILLICOULTRY man who continually contacted his partner despite an order not to do so will undergo an assessment to see if he is eligible for a domestic abuse programme.

Paul Wilkes appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday, April 12, with two deferred sentences and pleaded guilty to a third offence on the day.

Having been bailed from Airdrie Sheriff Court in August, Wilkes attempted to approach or contact his former partner, in breach of his bail conditions.

Then on Christmas Day last year, Wilkes, of Devonside, caused fear or alarm after turning up at an address on High Street, Tillicoultry, and refusing to leave despite repeated requests to do so.

He then proceeded to kick a door, shout, swear and utter threats of violence.

His most recent charge, for which he pleaded guilty to, states that he once again tried to make contact, directly or indirectly, with his former partner on March 13 at Drysdale Street.

Wilkes' lawyer, Kristina Kelly, told the court that the 23-year-old was willing to engage with a Caledonian Programme assessment, which was ordered by Sheriff David Mackie.

The case will call again for sentencing on May 10.
