A MAN who branded police officers “corporate Nazis” has had his sentence deferred for four months to prove he can be of good behaviour.
Gilbert Penman appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court on Thursday after previously pleading guilty to a breach of the peace.
The depute fiscal told the court that on April 11, 2017, Penman was at Alloa Job Centre on Mar Street without an appointment.
The prosecutor continued: “Staff told the accused that he would not be seen and asked him to leave, which he refused and again asked to be seen.”
The police were then phoned to assist in removing Penman and when they arrived, the 54-year-old unleashed a tirade of abuse on the officers, which included calling them “corporate Nazis”.
Jim Savage, defending Penman, of Park Place, told the court that his client felt he had been “unjustly treated”.
Sheriff David Mackie deferred the case which will call again on August 23.
