WEE COUNTY artists will have some of their finest work showcased at an annual show which begins later this week.

The Department of Creative Industries at Forth Valley College is due to launch its annual Degree and Diploma Show with a private view on Thursday, June 7.

The free exhibition is open to the general public and will be held at the college’s Stirling Campus from Friday, June 8 until Wednesday, June 13, except for Sunday.

It will showcase a wide range of media including art, design, photography, sculpture, installation, video and audio created by learners from the BA Art and Design, HND Contemporary Art Practice, HND Visual Communication, HND Photography and HND Art and Design, as well as showcasing the talent of students across courses in media and communication and sound production.

Linda Paterson, from the department for creative industries at the college, said: “The annual Degree and Diploma Show is a highpoint in our creative industries department’s calendar.

“It is an opportunity to showcase the fabulous work of our staff and students to the public, and it is a real pleasure to welcome people from the Forth Valley and beyond to our showcase Stirling campus.”

Opening times are: Friday, June 8, 10am-4pm; Saturday, June 9, 10am-1pm; Monday, June 11, 10am-4pm; Tuesday, June 12, 10am-8pm; Wednesday, June 13, 10am-4pm.
